The Manager Shift is a hands-on 6-month leadership development program designed for new managers stepping from individual contributor to people leader. 


Powered by the I AM Leadership Framework and supported by one on one coaching, participants develop six core leadership identities that shape how they lead.

 

 Through practical training, peer learning, and coaching, aspiring or newly-minted managers shift their mindset, define their leadership identity, and build the skills to lead people and shape culture from day one.

Program Structure

The Manager Shift is delivered in a cohort model of ideally 8–12 participants, typically grouped by sector to foster meaningful dialogue, shared learning, and lasting professional connection.


Over six months, participants engage in:


• One in-person kickoff session (where feasible)
• Six live half-day virtual sessions
• Three one-on-one coaching conversations
• A closing reflection and action-planning session


Between sessions, participants apply learning in real time and connect with peers to strengthen accountability and insight.


Total time commitment: approximately 4.5 days over six months.
